The Malaysian embassy attestation is a compulsory process that should be completed if you are planning to visit the country. It is quite imperative to complete this legalization procedure if you have to start the visa process or later if you wish to use these documents in Malaysia. The authorized body that reviews the attestation process is the Home Ministry And Ministry Of External Affairs. Do note that if you have the legally attested document alone, you can start the visa procedure or enter the country. According to the Malaysian Government Policy, attesting to your personal, commercial, and educational document is fundamental as it can prove the document’s legitimacy.
There are three types of document:
- Educational Certificate Attestation : Matriculation, Intermediate, Graduation Degree, Post Graduation Degree, Doctorate Degree, Certificates, Diploma and all other professional degree/certificates, Transfer Certificates, Bonafide Certificates, Transcript Certificates, etc.
- Non-Educational Certificate Attestation : Work Experience Certificates, Birth Certificates, Affidavits, Marriage Certificates, Registration Certificates of professional bodies, Power of Attorney, Death Certificates, Migration Certificates, Divorce Certificates, , Internship certificates, Police Clearance Certificates, Medical Certificates, etc.
- Commercial documents Attestation : Business agreement, Dissolution of Business, Business Registration certificate, Business Patent, Certificate of Origin, General Power of Attorney, Special Power of Attorney, No Objection Certificate, Income Tax Certificate, Sale Tax Certificate, Memorandum of Articles, Memorandum of Association, Government Approval Letters and all other certificates/documents relating to trade/business, Invoices, etc.
